This edition discusses the various antitrust and merger control decisions from the months of April - June 2022. Some of the recent decisions in the competition space, include findings of bid-rigging in public procurement tenders and abuse of dominance by the Amateur Baseball Federation by preventing other private leagues to be conducted. The CCI also imposed gun-jumping penalty on Allcargo and Veolia for failure to notify their transactions to the CCI. Additionally, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal upheld CCI’s order penalising Amazon INR 202 crore for gun-jumping.
