Devinder advises and assists companies on all aspects of International Trade and WTO laws. He represents exporters and importers, governments and domestic industry in anti-dumping, anti-subsidy or countervailing duty and safeguard investigations before the Indian trade authority. He also represents exporters from India facing trade investigations abroad including before the USDOC, European Commission, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He specialises in analysing and advising clients on Tariff and Non-Tariff barriers and their compatibility with WTO laws. His clients include global majors in chemicals and petrochemicals, rubber products, iron and steel, aluminium, pharmaceuticals, advertising and industrial goods.
Devinder also has a rich experience in litigation and advisory areas of customs practice and procedures including customs valuation, exemptions, classification, free trade agreements, foreign trade policy and procedures, EOUs and SEZs. He has also handled several cases under the foreign exchange and money laundering laws.
Before joining LKS, he has worked in chartered accountancy firms in allied areas of indirect taxation including VAT/CST, service tax and customs.
