The Bill also touches upon crucial aspects relating to the use of anonymized and non-personal data held by businesses. While largely aligned with the EU GDPR, the Bill does deviate in certain aspects which is likely to have an impact on businesses operating in India.
The Data Protection and Technology Team at Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan is organizing a breakfast briefing session in Gurgaon and Mumbai on the updates to the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019.
